If you want to get married quickly, the fastest legal path is usually a paperwork-only marriage with the documents handled early.

The marriage itself can be brief. The paperwork is what controls the timing.

The fastest ordinary path

For most couples, the quickest path is:

1. book online: the paperwork-only marriage ($820), elopement ceremony ($1,800), or wedding ceremony ($2,200)
2. pay the fee
3. complete your NOIM as soon as possible
4. gather your ID and any supporting documents straight away
5. send the paperwork through
6. marry once the notice period has passed and a suitable appointment is available

The rule that matters most

The main timing rule is the one calendar month notice period.

In ordinary cases, your NOIM must be given at least one calendar month before the marriage date and no more than 18 months before it.

That means:

• booking alone does not lock in the legal date
• paying the fee does not replace the notice period
• the earlier the NOIM is sorted, the easier it is to move quickly

When is the date actually confirmed?

With this service, the date, time, and place are confirmed after we receive the paperwork and check availability.

That matters because this is not a wedding booking with a big lead time. It is a legal marriage appointment based on paperwork and availability.

Can we get married in less than one month?

Sometimes, but only if a prescribed authority approves a shortening of time.

The legal categories are limited and include:

• employment or travel commitments
• wedding or celebration arrangements
• medical reasons
• legal proceedings
• error in giving notice

Approval is never automatic.
